Fern

Hello everyone, I'm Fern, and I'm going to share a glimpse into my life and the things that inspire me every day. Living with ASD(Asperger's) and anxiety presents unique challenges, but I am determined to turn them into opportunities for growth and self-discovery.  

Being homeschooled by my mum has been a tremendous blessing for me. It provides a nurturing and understanding environment that allows me to thrive despite the challenges I face. My mum's support and encouragement have been instrumental in helping me explore and develop my passion for art.

Art is more than just a hobby for me; it's a means of expressing myself and escaping into a world of boundless imagination. It's a beautiful way to communicate feelings, thoughts, and experiences that I find challenging to express through words. I am grateful to have the freedom to pursue my artistic endeavors and find joy in the creative process.

Being a part of our family business is an absolute delight. I get to utilise my passion for art to contribute to the success of our team. It's incredibly fulfilling to know that my creativity plays a role in helping my family's business flourish. I cherish the sense of belonging and purpose that comes with being an integral part of our family's shared venture.

Navigating social situations can be overwhelming for me, but I have found solace and a sense of belonging in the Army cadets. It provides a structured and supportive environment where I can try to engage with others who share similar interests and passions. The shared experiences in the cadets have been invaluable in building my confidence and social skills.

As I continue to embrace my journey with Asperger's and anxiety, I am learning to celebrate my unique strengths and embrace my challenges with grace. Each day, I strive to become more resilient and to develop a greater understanding of myself and the world around me.
